2nd RB??? Terrible Options..

I need to start a 2nd Back besides Alexander.
 
Performance league, 10yds=1pt
1pt per reception
6pts TD
 
I have Dillon(Not playing)
 
So here are my backs that are left.
 
R. Johnson(Dillon's Backup)
A-Train
T. Canidate.
 
im thinking R. Johnson, I like the Way he runs the ball.
 
What do you all think?

I kind of like Anthony Thomas this weekend.  We know that Kordell is killing the Bears (and his coaches realize it too).  Oakland has a pretty weak run defense, so look for A-Train to get some quality carries early, at least until Oakland starts to run away with the game.
 
Rudi Johnson should get the bulk of the carries against Buffalo, another team who has been susceptible to the run lately.  But I don't know too much about him other than he got 15 carries last week (good) but only managed 50 yards with those carries (not good).
 
Trung Canidate is facing an Eagles team that is #1 against the run right now.  Part of that is because they are a bit easier to pass on now that their 5 starters in the secondary have a combined 3 full years of NFL experience between them.  But the interior D-line of the Eagles is playing VERY well, forcing the runs to the outside where the quick LBs have been able to keep the yards to a minimum (less than 2.5 a carry).

I think Oakland starts on a little roll.  Anthony Thomas broke off a big run on Monday night.  That's why his stats were gaudy.  Don't get me wrong.  He looked decent, but... I think he'll have a let-down this week against a Raiders team that wants to stay on a roll.  I would also not advise playing Canidate.  I would, thus, go with Johnson by default.  I see him having one of those freak, unexpected second-stringer weeks out of nowhere.  Cincy will probably lose in the end, but Buffalo may "play down" after a disappointing loss to Philly and give up some gaudy rushing yardage in the process as that's where "playing down" seems to mainly manifest on defense.  I just can't believe I'm recommending you to go with a guy named Rudi!

He broke off two big runs, but one was called back for a penalty.  Otherwise his gaudy stats would have been downright garish.

This is do-or-die for the Chicago coaches this week, and they will try and eliminate any errors (as if that's possible with that team).  One way to do that is run the ball and play some time-control.  This will reduce the amount of time Gannon has to do damage.  I think Thomas will run the ball alot, and may break off another huge run.

I like the A-Train... Sure, Oakland had a great comeback last week, but they still gave up nearly 200 yards rushing to Tomlinson and over 30 points to a weak San Diego team, and that was at home! The Bears are terrible, but Thomas is starting to come around and I would rather take a chance on him then some no name back up playing for Cincy or a RBBC guy going to the Linc. Good luck.

I also think Chicago will have to run the ball and the A-Train will be the man.  He's been showing small signs of life so I would take a gamble.  Also, Peterson doesn't pose a threat to poach too many carries... yet.  Johnson makes me nervous because if he struggles and Bennett performs, Bennett will get the call.  With Canidate you have Betts therefore I'd pass.

I'd go with Anthony Thomas too. The Bears need a good showing, and will try to run, since they can't throw behind that horrid offensive line of theirs...

Thanks guys after reading MUCH info, I think I will go with A-Train....Schoop said that Thomas' MNF performance Warrants thomas to get more carries and I agree that this is a do or Die situation for the Bears.  
I just hope Thomas plays as hard as Kordell did on Monday Night. Did you all see that game? Man its like the Fucking Bears are lifeless Zombies out there and the Only gu that cares is Kordell. He aint that bad, hes playing his heart out...Its his O-Line that Blows. I just hope they can run block better than they can pass block.

Not to rain on the parade, but watch Thomas' bruised shoulder.  He's expected to start, other options aren't too terrific, but he won't have any more protection than Kordell.

I'm leaning a little toward StegRock's way. It seems I read somewhere that Rudi was moved up in the Cincy depth chart which is like an affirmation/reward and would seem to indicate that Rudi may see to rock alot. With Buffalo's "O" sputtering  coupled with the fact that the Cincy D has been very effective in curtailing QB production I would expect this to be a close game. Close games produce more oppertunity to contine running the ball. I'm afraid that if Oakland jumps to a nice lead that A-train may lose carries to the passing game.  I would love to see the Bears do well throwing to the TE and running A-train all the time like the OC wants to do, But my fantasy senses say that may not be int the cards.
