If this game isn't the definition of a TRAP game than I don't know what is. Coming off an emotional win over our former head coach & the 8-2 Colts in our sights. This COULD be a very dangerous game. Infact if David Carr were starting I'd probably pick the Texans in an upset. However, with Carr going down to injury last week, I can't see how a team with Tony Banks at QB could possibly beat us. Patriots Statistical Breakdown: Tom Brady ~ 215 yards passing, 1 td & 0 ints Kevin Faulk ~ 20 yards rushing, 40 yards receiving Antowain Smith ~ 1 td & 90 yards rushing, 5 yards receiving(the main guy for right now) Troy Brown ~ still questionable Deion Branch ~ 60 yards receiving (new go to guy) Bethel Johnson ~ 25 yards receiving (deep threat) David Givens ~ questionable JJ Stokes ~ 25 yards receiving(new guy, new system) Christian Fauria ~ 1 td, 30 yards receiving(he's back) Daniel Graham ~ 30 yards receiving Adam Vinatieri ~ 2 FGs & 2 PATs Texans Statistical Breakdown: Tony Banks ~ 225 yards pass, 10 yards rush, 0 tds & 2 ints(pats have only allowed 4 tds via the air) Domanick Davis ~ 1 td, 90 yards rushing, 25 yards receiving Andre Johnson ~ 80 yards receiving Corey Bradford ~ 40 yards receiving Jabar Gaffney ~ 40 yards receiving Billy Miller ~ 30 yards receiving Jabari Holloway ~ 10 yards receiving(drafted by NE) Kris Brown ~ 2 FG & 1 PAT FINAL SCORE PATRIOTS 20 TEXANS 13 Unless Houston jumps out to an early lead I don't see this game being in jeopadry at all. I may be looking ahead to Indy, but I doubt Belichick is.

| FINAL SCORE IN O.T. PATRIOTS 23 TEXANS 20 Yesterday was a GREAT example of why the NFL Sunday Ticket is a must have. What a wild weekend of games. Sunday was filled with some real nail bitters all over the country. The Patriots may have been in the wackiest game of all. It had everything from a blocked punt to a big interception INT in the red zone only to be fumbled away seconds later. I think it's safe to say that the Patriots survived a scare & found a way to claw themselves out of this TRAP. In regulation the offense was pathetic. They tried running the ball against one of the worst run Ds in the NFL, but for the most part were unsuccessful. The Pats D was solid in the 1st half, but in the 2nd half they gave Banks time to pick apart the secondary. It was almost like they were playing a prevent D. The Pats could really use a killer instinct on both sides of the ball when they have a lead. We came VERY close to letting the Texans take this one. HOWEVER, as this team has shown in the past when things are looking bleak, they come up BIG. Brady was heroic in the drive that forced O.T. Unlike Bledsoe, Tom was able to avoid the sack & keep the drive alive. On 4th & 1 Weiss called for a bootleg to the right. Once again Brady had a guy in his face, but was able to thread the needle & hit Daniel Graham with the tying TD. In overtime the defense was outstanding. Just barely keeping the Texans out of FG range. The Patriots were helped out greatly by a holding call just prior to what would have been Brady's 3rd INT. After missing an earlier one & getting his last one blocked, Adam Vinatieri could not have felt very confident. Fortunately he sticked it & the Pats can now look ahead to a shot at the #2 spot in what is a very top heavy AFC.
