Top Ten FF TEs for 2004

It's early and the rankings will probably change more than a few times throughout the season, but here is my preliminary list of the top 10 TEs for fantasy football this fall.
Feel free to comment and post your own top 10 list.
1. Tony Gonzalez - After a slow start, had an excellent 2003 season and shows no sign of letting up.
2. Shannon Sharpe - Seems to be the most reliable target in Denver.
3. Todd Heap - WR corps may be slightly improved, but Ravens passing game still goes through Heap.
4. Boo Williams - Became the go-to guy for Brooks late last season.
5. Alge Crumpler - Was on-again off-again in 2003, but should be more consistent in 2004.
6. Kellen Winslow - Garcia will be forced to dump it off to the TE because of poor blocking.
7. LJ Smith - Eagles love to throw to their TEs and attention to TO should allow Smith to get open more.
8. Jeremy Shockey - Health is a concern, plus lack of a stable QB in 2004 hurts.
9. Freddie Jones - WR stable is inexperienced, but will demand defensive attention, allowing Jones to rebound in 2004.
10. Itula Mili - Was top 10 again in 2003, and Jerramy Stevens appears to be a bust.
Honorable Mention: Antonio Gates could be productive in SD. Ben Troupe could have a nice rookie season in Tennessee if he can displant Erron Kinney quickly. Marcus Pollard might put up good numbers again as he out-produced Dallas Clark in 2003 and could do it again in 2004. Jim Kleinsasser has to fight for the ball in Minnesota, but still seems to do OK with the stats. Rookie Sleeper: Tim Euhus in Buffalo. Bledsoe loves a good pass-catching TE and Euhus can do just that.

1. Tony Gonzalez, KC - It's like they think this guy is a wide-out sometimes. As a fantasy TE, that's a real gift!
2. Jeremy Shockey, NYG - Gut call here. I think they need him this year. I think he'll stay healthy. I know he can do it.
3. Todd Heap, BAL Another TE who sometimes feels like a wide-out. That's who they have. (I held him all last season, and I loved it.) But watch the QB and how that works for Todd.
4. Alge Crumpler, ATL - Vick is back, and that works for Alge.
5. Boo Williams, NO - Look at the end of last season. It's an O that likes the TE, and he signed a contract extension.
6. Randy McMichael, MIA - Just needs a QB situation, and Boston may help, too. As a gut thing, I think he'll be a red zone vulture.
7. L.J. Smith, PHI - WRBC. Including the TE.
8. Jason Witten, DAL - A long shot, but he gets open and has good hands. I guess I could just see Tuna doing it, just to mess with teams.
9. Eric Johnson, SF - SF needs to do something, and he's getting a LOT of money.
10. Antonio Gates, SD - I think SD needs to do something.
11. Desmond Clark, CHI - I think CHI needs to do something.
Some real reaches, but that's what we do with TE's in Fantasy Football. (P.S. I know I did 11.)
