I read Lewis to Denver also, but file this under the "I didn't see this one coming"...... Updated: March 13, 2006, 11:35 AM ET Home again: Jamal Lewis agrees to new Ravens dealBy John Clayton ESPN.com Less than 12 hours after the Ravens replaced Chester Taylor with Mike Anderson, Jamal Lewis got what he wanted -- a chance to return to Baltimore. The office of Lewis' agent, Mitch Frankel, confirmed Lewis accepted a three-year deal to stay in Baltimore. Terms of the deal were unavailable because Frankel was on a flight this morning. Lewis was planning to go to Denver for a visit and start to find another team but he kept in touch with the Ravens. Finally, after 24 hours of negotiations, going back and forth between short-term and long-term deals, Lewis accepted a three-year deal to stay and will have a conference call with the media later this afternoon.

The difference just a couple years can make... From "The REAL Feed": Wary of injuries, Ravens release starting fullback Ricard ESPN: NFL (18.07.2006 23:08) Regarded as one of the NFL's most punishing lead-blocking fullbacks only a few years ago and credited with helping tailback Jamal Lewis crack the 2,000-yard barrier in 2003, five-year veteran Alan Ricard was released by the Ravens. If Jamal runs for 2,000 ever again, it won't be with the same fullback blocking for him.
