SEAN TAYLOR Miami, Fla Ht: 6'3" Wt: 230 lbs. Strengths: Taylor is gifted physically; he has speed, strength, and quickness. He reads quarterbacks well and is excellent in pass coverage. Hits like a truck and is always around the ball, much like Ronnie Lott was in his prime for the 49ers. Is a prototpe NFL safety. Weaknesses: Is still a little new to the position, being a recently converted runningback. Needs to be a better tackler, but that will come with more experience. Projection: Should be a top 5-10 pick. The Giants, Redskins, and Lions are all considering Taylor.

MADIEU WILLIAMS Maryland HT: 6' 0" WT: 193 lbs. STRENGTHS: Madieu Williams transferred from Towson State to Maryland as a walk-on. He quickly became one of the best and most respected players on the team. A tireless worker, Williams is an excellent prospect at the NFL level. He has good size for the free safety position. He can play the run and is a very solid tackler. He puts some pop in his hits and can create turnovers. Williams also excels in pass coverage. He has the skills and technique necessary for a cornerback. Williams has good speed and outstanding quickness. He reads the defense well and reacts quickly. He never gives up on a play. WEAKNESSES: While Williams has been effective at the FS position in college, he will need to add some weight to play in the NFL where the backs and receivers are much bigger and faster. He has the frame to add mass without sacrificing too much athleticism. Williams does not possess great speed over a long distance and could be a liability in the deep passing game, although he may be able to compensate by reading the play and positioning himself. Williams does not have great hands. He will make the easy interception, but will have to settle for breaking up passes most of the time. PROJECTION: Madieu Williams really caught the eyes of the scouts at the Senior Bowl. He was consistently one of the most impressive safeties in practices and during the game. With his instincts, abilities, and effort, he should be a second or third round pick. Williams could go as early as pick #51 (2nd round) to the Ravens or as late as #76 (3rd round) to the Jets.
