No friend of "the Gridiron"

Just to put my current "emotional state" into context... Besides our one sponsor (BuySellTix.com) disappearing this year and the donations here at crunch time being "less than stellar", there's THIS... If yous noticed, the JunkyardJake.com links have been disappearing. Well, here's the fucked up reason why... I take a brody and drop on by Jake's place a few days ago. Remember what our relationship with JYJ was was that "the Gridiron" functioned as his externally-hosted message-board forum. It was a set-up I ran by him way back in the day as he did not have a message-board forum and I really dug his site in terms of the compatibility in spirit I saw in our two sites. Well, I go over there and notice that not only are we no longer linked to as his externally-hosted message-board forum, ALL links to "the Gridirion"/FantasyFootballer.com had been REMOVED. Not only were we NOT even in his "FF Message Boards" links list on his home page, but we did not even make his damn links page (and, along with some admittedly decent old staples, he's got some garbage listed there). All the while, his links remained up over here, most notably the PHAT one that existed in a premium spot on EVERY page of "the Gridiron" forum. WTF is up with that BS??? So, I send our "friend" RC (JYJ) the following message: Dear RC, I see you took links to "the Gridiron" off your web site. Hell, you don't even list FantasyFootballer.com on your links page. Wow... Thanks for letting me know. I guess that's how you roll. That's cool. Out, Steg His reply: Hey Steg, I'm redoing the links page, I'll put you on there. RC :^) My response back: Dear RC, I'm not too worried about being added to your links page. Don't worry about that. But, I am curious as to how you came to removing every link to "the Gridiron" and FantasyFootballer.com from your site? How did "we" go from, to use the kind of language I used to use in a kind way toward you and your site, "sister sites of sorts" and our exchanging premium linkage to your taking all my links off your site (and not inviting me to participate in your little league) without notifying me, which allowed your JunkyardJake.com link to remain front and center on my site (as well as on my links page)? What's up with THAT??? Out, Steg That's where it's remained since Thursday and probably will remain... Let's face it... Dude's got no answer. In any case, in light of what I endured last year here, but from which I was slowly recovering, this kick in the head has my trust in my internet "friends" returning to an all-time low and is in great NEED of rehabilitation. Mind you, this is a guy who a year or so ago I was talkin' on the phone and throwin' out ideas with. Just note it all, fellas... That's all...

No, as predicted, he never responded... BUT, given the timing of your question, sk, I want to clarify that his site was NOT "the Gridiron" sponsor we lost that I mentioned in my latest lay-it-on-the-line post here http://www.fantasyfootballer.com/cgi-bin/theGridiron/YaBB.cgi?board=58;a ction=display;num=1107456609!!! That was BuySellTix.com who gave us a few hundred bucks for two years to primarily have links on a handful of our FF-specific team reports pages (the original five - the Broncos, Eagles, Giants, Steelers and Vikings). With JYJ, it was just a link exchange.
