I think I had three different names typed in for the 1.08 pick before I pressed POST. That was a tough pick. I know it may be unconventional to go defense so early, but I think San Diego's D is better than people think. Now I'm set for the season with (what should be) a pair of top tier defenses.
It made your choice easier having that "extra" first round pick. You got your young stud in Johnson plus your defense. Nice going! Having a pick at 2.04 also helps
It really speaks to how poor this draft pool is. Last year, a DU wasn't selected until almost the 4th round. This year 2 were selected in the top 12 picks in the mother league. It looks a if this group will follow suit.

Not by me. I am in rebuilding mode. A good defense will not help my team.
That would be like putting an perfume on a pig. It smells a little better, but it is still a pig.

I'm bushed too. Long day of meetings and another one on tap tomorrow. I'll check the site early in the AM, but won't be able to check again until late afternoon.
Of course the NFL bye scheduler did not look at my roster prior to making the schedule and scheduled all my RBs with the same bye. That's why I traded my Panther duo for Jacobs. Then I draft Jackson, who has....week 7 off!!! NICE!
I can always use another RB and if he manages to beat out LanDale White and Chris Brown, I could be golden.
I am willing to wait unitl next year for him. Hopefully he will get a few starts at the end of the year so I can see if he is worth protecting for next year.
I think Chris Henry makes total sense here. He has as good as shot as anyone else as being a performer. The other RBs there have not 'stepped up' their performance and taken advantage of the situation!

I hope you are right!
My thinking is after Peterson/Lynch/Jackson Henry seemed like the guy with the best shot to be a number one. My guess is that Brown and White will be given ample opportunity. I believe they will not "take the bull by the horns" and Henry will eventually be given the chance. Hopefully, he steps up and takes the job.
It is actually kind of ironic because she usually lives on this site and here it is a exciting drafting opportunity and she is actually busy with something else, which is fine because the draft doesn't start till tomorrow! Just funny and ironic.
Just got in for today, and I'll pop in enough to move things in this early start.
All jokes aside, we have a family emergency today, but it won't keep me out of here too much. Heck, I made them change my birthday party (24th was the date) for this draft! (Could you guys tell your wives you were doing that???)
As for M. Bush, with the RBs I inherited I'll take that shot.

Well, I had another pick ready and I was kid of surprised that Callie didnt take Croyle because she only has two QBs. I guess Bush is a nice long term prospect. He could be a Steven Jackson type back.
I thought Croyle was too good to pass up at 1.10. It seems like KC really wants him to win the job. Now I have way too many QBs if they all start so I may be in the trade market.

We could probably go ahead and pick for her. It is pretty obvious from looking at her roster what position she needs.
I tried diligently to trade her Culpepper or McCown b/4 I had to cut them. but she didn't want to talk about it.
Hope your gamble pays off and you can still get a starting QB Callie!
