Checked the stats at NFL.com as well. Even though I have Hutch in the GBRFL, like him and think he is more of a "Parcells-type" quarterback, Quincy's numbers, though it was against the Texans, were pretty good tonight and he apparently did not make any big mistakes. I do think the plot thickens (as does the Browns QB battle after tonight's performance)! However, I still think it will be Hutch (and Couch) come Week 1. Come Week 4-5ish,... But, I digress... What's with all this football talk in "the Bleachers"?

| Not happy to hear this. I hate these scumbags who make this bullshit. Anyway, regarding stopping the process in the windows task manager, you are not connected to the internet when you try to do that, right? When I was, I also got that "Access denied" message. I was only able to stop the process when I was off-line. In any event, try doing it in "Safe Mode" if you haven't already. You start up your computer in "Safe Mode" by pressing F8 during the early stages of the booting process, i.e. when it says to. The virus, msblast.exe or whatever you got, may not be in "process" in "Safe Mode", though you'd, of course, definitely want to check, anyway. Regardless, though, what you could do is try to do this all backwards. In summary, in "Safe Mode", check your "Windows Task Manager" first, see if the virus is running. If so, try to stop it. Then, whether or not it was running and whether or not you were able to stop it, do a search for the virus and delete it and then empty your recycle bin. Then, shut down. Start back up in "Safe Mode" one more time and do all that again, i.e. check your "Task Manager" and do a search, making sure you have accomplished something. After hopefully realizing you've accomplished something, do a virus scan now in "Safe Mode"! Then, start back up in normal mode; do NOT go on-line; check your "Task Manager" immediately; do a search; do a virus scan. ONE OTHER THING YOU MAY WANT TO TRY DURING ALL THIS IS COMPLETELY DETACHING YOUR PHONE LINE OR WHATEVER LINE YOU CONNECT TO THE INTERNET BY WAY OF FROM YOUR COMPUTER! Again, good luck!

Also when I go to my task manager I can't stop the process, it says access denied and I can delete it off my file list. |
| Tony, try this thread from a few days ago. Between Grove Diesel and Rurbaniak, you won't find much more reliable help. http://www.fftodayforums.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=5;t= 050582#000000 Steg, sorry for linking to that board, but under the circumstances I felt it was warranted.

Anyone here know auto tech stuff really well? I'm having trouble with my car. I think my tranny is slipping, but I'm not sure. Occasionally when am driving (my automatic ) and come to a complete stop, when I go to start up again, and take my foot off the brake, my engine races a bit without me going anywhere, and then it (my transmisson?) will kick in, my tires will squeal a bit, and then things are fine. I've found that this happens after I come to a more sudden stop. If I slow down gradually nothing seems to be wrong. Any ideas? Modified to elucidate a misspelled point from the comedian in the subsequent post.

| Like my Poker... Don't get me wrong! Pretty good at it, actually , though I can't shuffle worth a shit... 52-card pick-up all the way, baby, when Steggie's shufflin'! In short, though, for "off-the-beat-and-track" stuff, I'm more of an And 1 Streetball guy than a World Series of Poker guy if ya' follow...

No, it's like this: Everyone gets dealt 4 cards in their hand. Then, 3 rows of 3 are laid down: C C C C C C C C C The cards are turned over one at a time, and bets are made. The 4 cards in the corners are called "burn cards". For example, if a 7 is turned over in a corner, everyone holding a 7 MUST throw them away. Now, say the top middle card is turned over and it is also a &, it is burned. The card in the middle is turned over last, and it is wild. You make your hand with your 4 existing cards, plus the three cards horizontal or vertical. on Aug 27th, 2003, 9:03pm, PrimeTime wrote:I never heard of "burning cross". I wonder if it is what we call criss-cross. Six cards down on the table, you get to use the horixontal or vertical three cards along with four cards in you r hand. Middle card is wild? C C C C C |
